Three fun, creative and musical activities related to concepts of freedom and courage, bring children closer to enriching and strengthening their inner voice and confidence.
The story box contains:
1. A poster sized manual with three activity suggestions to do at home or in class.
2. A blank postcard to write, draw, and send to a dear one. Tell them when you feel free. Maybe when you are by riding a bike, drinking juice or playing with your friends?
3. A Jina bookmark that teaches braiding, soon to be tried on your friends’ hair.
4. A manual and QR code to a video tutorial on how to craft your own straw doll. You can dress the doll in all ways you like. Something that was never possible for Jina. String, pearls, and cloth are included as inspiration for your own design.
5. A QR code will bring you to two song, composed and sung by Kurdish musician Berfin Aktay, that transports you deeper into the soundscape of the story.
6. A tin-can is your own music shaker – you can dance and improvise along with Jina’s songs.

Eine Erzählerin zu dem Lied berichtet auf Englisch und Deutsch, was uns die kurdische Sprache vielleicht nicht vermitteln kann. Wir zeigen, wie man aus Stroh eine Puppe bastelt in einer schönen und einfachen Technik, die immer in Erinnerung bleiben wird.
